Assignment 25A - What's Next?

Existing Market
My very first step would be to set a team. The members will include different leaders of those existing nonprofit organizations that already support or assist immigrants. We will all input our own ideas and experiences and blend them together to come up with the best way to organize this nonprofit. Next, I would gather groups of people from these organizations to begin assisting as volunteers who would later get paid after the business has kicked off.
The important part would be gaining the funds. I would need a team to create and develop a website for the company. This is a major step because it is what will make the entire organization survive. By having a shareable link, it makes the lengths of growth unstoppable. Having these volunteers devoted to sharing this with social media or friends and family will be a key point in growth. This is where the sympathetic and empathetic general population will begin to take notice. This market won't include any wealthy or famous individuals because it will not be known enough to get their attention just yet.
Once the first goal of financial capital is reached, the construction and development of the very first facilities will be in full swing. I probably will place this first one on the California border because that is where most of the immigrants come into. Once we are able to process a couple of the children into it, many will see the difference quickly.
New Market
My first step to success with the wealthy investor market is improving my pitch to the best of my ability. I would need to search for feedback in ways that I haven't before. This is no surprise, but it would be a difficult step. I would need to be completely comfortable with being criticized constructively and being rejected. It has to be convincing enough that someone who has heard many different ideas and business plans, that they would see the potential in this opportunity. Instead of convincing them to make more money, it would have to pull at the heart strings and give them a sense of satisfaction for helping those who don't have what they are lucky enough to have.
This new market is something I want my organization to get to eventually, but it isn't something I plan on doing in the very beginning. I expected it to feel much easier because of how passionate I am about the issue, but not everyone will feel the same. It needs to be articulated in a way that will show the benefits that will come that obviously don't include a profit.
