Who: Alexander Ramirez is a man who is of Hispanic ethnic background. He is a coordinator in a local movement which supports immigrants and protests against ICE. I would consider him my domain expert.
How in Contact: I have a friend from high school who participates in the different events that this group organizes.
Exchange: He was just able to explain to me his purpose for what he does. He does not believe in snatching the freedom of those who fled in search of it. He did no favors, and I was not expecting any, but I did want to feel like my purpose matter. Mr. Ramirez was able to put into perspective how important it was to stand up for those who could not.
How Will They Enhance Your Opportunity: After already having so many people apart of his movement, he offered to help gain any support he could if I were to actually try to begin my organization. He offered to plan events that would help kick start my project at least..

Who: Sofia Pillson was one of my first friends in high school. Since we've graduated she has participated in so many different protests an even traveled to different parts of Florida and different states to continue these actions. I felt she was a market expert because she had so much personal experiences with fighting for immigrants. One time she even was arrested for protesting against ICE raids by sitting in the middle of the street.
How in Contact: A former friend from my high school. Talked on social media.
Exchange: She gave me a lot insight on her experiences and the people shes met throughout her time serving. She gave me exactly what I was expecting. I always found her very interesting and intellectual and she allowed me inside to see what exactly she fights for. She's even joined campaigns and has many connects to organizations fighting for immigrants.
How Will They Enhance Your Opportunity: She has relationships with coordinators from different organizations that would probably assist my own without a question.

Who: It was difficult to find a supplier for my type of business. In all honesty, I feel like the suppliers are "you." Those who help out, donate, and give their time to this type of business. Those are all the tools we need to make it become a reality.

Hey Nina, it seems like the people you interviewed seemed to help a lot in gaining more insight. Although it was difficult for you to find a supplier, I think that the "marketing" behind this idea is of utmost importance. Also interviewing someone who is an advocate for immigrants seemed like it gave you a lot of important information that you might not have gotten given that he deals with these immigrants quite a lot. If I were you I would also reach out to someone at ICE because although you may not like them they have insight you might not get from others.
ReplyDeleteHi there Nina.
ReplyDeleteYou did an amazing job with creating this social media post. Your layout, paragraphs, and spacing are well down. As always, reading your post had been a joy but also educational. You did an amazing job with picking your three people to interview. They provide clear and detailed information about how they felt on the topic that you guys are discussing.
